The MIB that defines root nodes for information that is generic to most field devices. The data for the fdGlobalMIB node is defined in other MIBs that start with ISO26048-1 in their name. A node used to group all administrative objects for all field device MIBs. The subnode structure of this node is intended to parallel the structure under the fieldDevice node. The node that parallels this node (i.e., node 1) is reserved to define administrative objects not defined elsewhere. For example {fdAdmin 1} is reserved for administrative objects related to features defined under {fieldDevice 1}.

A node defining administrative information related to the ISO 26048-1 global MIB. The nodes under this node parallel the nodes under the fdGlobalMIB node.

A node used to group all administrative objects for all field device MIBs that do not belong under any other global administrative node.

A node defining conformance information related to the ISO 26048-1 global MIB.

A node containing conformance statements related to administrative MIBs.
