road equipment¶

component of transport infrastructure (3.3.7.2) along the roadway intended to contribute to the safety, operations, management, awareness, and comfort of movements of the road users (3.6.1.2)

NOTE: Road equipment can be next to, over, on and/or in the roadway.

EXAMPLE: sign, traffic signal, safety rail, gantry, bus stop structure, highway safety lighting
